Size 2 Standard Muzzle

Best fit for tiny, short nosed dogs. Breeds that commonly fit into this size include Large Yorkies, Maltese, Papillon, Bichons. Small Dogs that usually will not fit this size include Boston Terriers, Pugs, and Shih-Tzu’s— in our experience, these brachy breeds require Brachycephallic Custom Muzzles, however you can always reach out to us with measurement photos to verify which size will work best for your pup!

This size is VERY similar to Size 1, but has a slightly shorter nose length and slightly taller pant height.

As of October 2025, Select Standard muzzle sizes, including this Size 2, will now come with Powder Coated Glossy Black baskets instead of Rubber Coated baskets. Powder Coating is a thinner, more light weight coating than rubber coating, which makes it ideal for tiny sizes like this!

Measurements Your Dog Needs to Have to Fit in this Muzzle:

Nose Length: 1.25in-1.5in - DO NOT ADD LENGTH, a bit of extra room is accounted for. Go by the actual length of your dog’s nose as measured according to our Measurement Guide. Remember to include the length of their lips/mouth if it protrudes further out than their nose does!

Snout Width: 1.25-1.75in - Not including fluff! Just the width of the snout bones just under the eyes.

Cheek Width: 2.5-3.75in (Specify in form)

Full Pant Height: 3.25-3.5 in - The muzzle gives about 3.5” of height, so if your dog uses more than 3.5” of open mouth height, it will likely be uncomfortably small on them.

Head Length: 4.25 in or longer

Nose to Neck Length: 2.5in or longer - If your dog’s nose to neck measurement is shorter than 2.5”, this muzzle will fit incorrectly and uncomfortably! Please double check this measurement!
