In order to build your dogโs muzzle, we will need a full set of their measurements. You can find our Measurement Guide Here. Please send reference and measurement photos to us via email or Facebook Messenger!
Our custom muzzles all include a powder coated steel wire basket in your preferred color, a BioThane noseband and neck strap in up to 3 strap colors of your choice, Chicago screws in your choice of hardware color (which hold the straps onto the muzzle basket and enable straps to be adjustable and removable as needed), and a plastic adjustable quick release buckle. Additional straps and other add-ons are also available. See below for more details on our add-on options.
Wire basket muzzles are well ventilated and lightweight, and are great for reactive dogs, BSL, emergencies, vet visits or preventing scavenging (with our Vinyl Scavenger Guard Add-On). Since they are welded steel, they are indeed considered to be โbite proofโ : theyโve been known to prevent bites for many many dogs around the world.

Important: Although we use the highest quality brass screws that do a fabulous job of staying in place, they can occasionally loosen with regular wear, so it is important to check them regularly to ensure theyโre tightened. You could add a drop or two of blue Loctite Threadlocker to the inside of the bolt to set it permanently in place, but keep in mind that if you do, it wonโt be adjustable any longer! We do not lock our screws on muzzles to enable you to adjust them as needed, but any of our other gear with screws will be locked.
Keep in mind, ensuring that your muzzle is secure and adequately sized is ultimately your responsibility. By purchasing from us, you recognize that we build our gear as strong and secure as possible, but we are not responsible for the failure of equipment, especially if it is used incorrectly. If youโre concerned or unsure of the adjustment of the straps of your muzzle, please reach out to us for assistance. Making sure the muzzle is secure, that screws are fully tightened, and that no straps are damaged when you use your muzzle is of utmost importance to keep your dog safe, so we recommend checking your muzzle routinely to ensure that it has no damage and that screws are tightened correctly. If your muzzle is damaged, please message us immediately.
Does your New Gear need Adjustment? Donโt worry, this is simple! All you will need is a flathead screwdriver, or, in a pinch, a spoon should work! Put the pad of your finger on the flat side of the screw to hold it steady. Then unscrew the bolt from the notched side (pictured left) and pop it out of the strap. Adjust the straps as needed, then replace the screw when youโve got it adjusted correctly to keep your pup safe and secure!
