The Keffiyeh Collar 🇵🇸
We believe that at this time in history, there is no truer test of humanity than the story of the Palestinian People. History will forever remember our generation for what happens to Palestine today—and we are heartbroken to admit that the legacy of the American empire will be a live-streamed genocide, among so many other atrocities. As we refuse to support the actions of our government in their support of the isr*eli genocide on Palestine, we feel it imperative to support the people of Palestine in any way we can. Although we have been donating our personal funds to various causes in support of Palestinians (Gazans especially) over the last couple of years, we believe that art is resistance, and we want to help each other show solidarity with the Palestinian people by using our art for a better purpose.
With this Keffiyeh Collar, we will be donating all proceeds to the causes shared by renowned journalist Bisan Owda (@wizard_bisan). We recognize that many charities are accepting donations for Gaza, but are simply unable to actually use that money to help Palestinians due to the illegal blockade imposed by the occupation. So by following the lead of someone actually in Gaza, who knows which charity/mutual aid fund can do the most good within their community, we can ensure that our donations do the most possible good. Currently, the donations will be sent to “Meals And Medicals For Injured Palestinian Kids”, a mutual aid fund and soup kitchen run by civilian volunteers in Gaza.
The Keffiyeh Collar was inspired by our favorite dog activist, Dave from @dog_atheart, who would regularly wear his Keffiyeh scarf in posts to advocate for Palestine, and to show how caring and advocating for animals goes hand in hand with caring about the genocide and ecocide happening now to the people, land and animals in Gaza. We wanted a way to make the Keffiyeh scarf wearable not only for you, but for your dog as well, even on the dirty, chaotic adventures that our dogs take.

Our biothane collars are waterproof and stink resistant, easily cleaned with a simple wipe down, and are very strong. The Keffiyeh collar has the same braided design as our Juno Collar, but with a vinyl Keffiyeh design across the main strap, and red/green accents to represent the Palestinian flag. The design can be ordered in red or black standard matte vinyl, or in sparkle/glitter vinyl, though please keep in mind that the glitter vinyl may get dirty easier, and is a bit harder to keep clean than the matte vinyl. Glitter vinyl unfortunately also has a higher chance of the edges starting to peel off the collar with time, since it is a thicker material than normal matte vinyl, and adheres with the material raised above the biothane, whereas matte vinyl adheres to biothane flatter.
Lastly, while some may advise against “mixing business with politics”, we recognize extremely clearly that business inherently can not be separated from politics, especially in our capitalist society. At Big Snoof, we believe in standing firmly and clearly for our values, and we know that many people want to know that the companies and people they support with their purchases are standing side by side with them.

Size Measurements (Inner Circumference) and Biothane Widths:
S 13 - 16 inches, Width: 5/8" layered on 1"
M 16 - 19 inches, Width: 5/8" layered on 1.5"
M/L 19 - 22 inches, Width: 5/8" layered on 1.5"
L 22 - 25 inches, Width: 5/8" layered on 1.5"
XL 24 - 27 inches, Width: 5/8" layered on 1.5"
Need to adjust the size of your collar? Don’t worry, this is simple! All you will need is a flathead screwdriver, or, in a pinch, a spoon should work! Put the pad of your finger on the flat side of the screw on the outside of the collar to hold it steady. Then unscrew the two adjustable bolts from the inside of the collar, and pop them out of the bottom strap. Adjust the length as needed, then replace and completely tighten the screws when you’ve got the collar size adjusted correctly!
Important! Although we use the highest quality screws, they can occasionally loosen with longterm regular wear, so it is important to check them regularly to ensure they’re tightened and secure. You could add a drop of Loctite Threadlocker to the inside of the bolts to set it permanently in place, but keep in mind that if you do, it won’t be adjustable any longer! All other screws except for the two adjustable ones will already come glued and locked. We recommend you line up the slots of the Chicago screws to match the others, in line with the BioThane, so. that if one begins to loosen it is quickly obvious that it has moved. To be clear: we have never had a collar screw come loose that we know of, whether for personal or customer collars, but we know it is in theory possible and something to be VERY aware of.
