Order Placing Guide

Interested in getting one of our muzzles? We’re excited to help you out! However, since we are on our holiday break until Jan 6, we’ve collected lots of important info regarding ordering for you here, so you can find the answers to your questions asap! Please read on for guidance :)

First, please keep in mind that in order to determine your dog’s sizing, whether for custom orders or for standard size recommendations, we ideally need to see actual measurement photos with a tape measure of at least the Nose Length, Side Head Length, and Cheek Width measurements, taken according to our Measurement Guide, to verify them and ensure accuracy. HOWEVER. You do not need us to check measurements before ordering a custom muzzle, and if you

We really want to avoid sizing our muzzles based solely off of a list of measurement numbers alone, because we frequently find that this leads to incorrect sizing, and we want to help you avoid exchanges, especially since we do charge an exchange/adjustment fee as per our shop policies.

• Interested in Ordering a Custom Muzzle:

  If you know you’d like to order a Custom Muzzle, please feel free to whenever you’re ready! You do not need us to review your dog’s measurements prior to ordering. We make sure to review all measurement photos prior to building every custom muzzle, so we will review them as soon as we’re able to after you order and will reach out to you if we need any further .
  
  Simply leave the measurement prompts on the order form blank when ordering, and email your measurement photos to us at measurements@bigsnoofdoggear.com with your four digit (#XXXX) order number and name, so we can connect the email to the order accurately. If you have questions or concerns about your custom order, please put them in your order notes, and if needed we will address them via email when we review your measurement photos.

• Interested in Ordering a Standard Muzzle:

  If you know you’d like to order a Standard Muzzle, you will need to take measurements according to our measurement guide and review the measurements for the available standard sizes to see if one will suit your pup.

• If You've Already Placed a Custom Muzzle Order:

  • Please reply to this email with your 4 digit order number if you didn't already include it in your previous email, so we can ensure that your measurement photos are clearly connected to the order you placed.

  • Please note that you may not hear from us for a couple weeks, because we verify custom muzzle measurement photos in the order that we receive the orders. If you have received a confirmation email with your four digit order number (#0XXXX), you can rest assured that your order is safely in the order queue lineup, and not affected by our timeline of verifying your measurement photos. 

  • If we find that we need anything more from you to size your dog's custom muzzle, we will certainly reach out to you! We also will do our best to let you know once your measurements have been verified, and once we have everything we need. Your tracking information will then be emailed to you once the order is ready to ship.

• If You Have Not Yet Placed an Order:

  • If you don't hear back from us within 3 business days, feel free to email us again to "bump" your email to the top of our inbox. Sometimes emails can get lost in the depths of our inbox, but don't worry, we definitely want to help you out! 

  • If you haven't already included this info, it would be incredibly helpful if you could share:

    • Yourdog's approximate weight

    • Whether you are interested in purchasing a custom muzzle, standard muzzle, or if you are unsure/open to either type.

    • In addition to those measurement photos, if you can send a photo of your pup heavily panting from the side profile, that help us make sure to give your dog adequate pant height. It can be an old picture, and doesn't need to have a tape measure in it, but we really need it to be a clear side profile picture.

  • Please note that if you are in a rush to place a custom muzzle order, you are more than welcome to place the order prior to having measurements verified! We will always verify the measurement photos prior to sizing your dog's muzzle, and there is plenty of time to do so after you order :)

Lastly, please keep in mind that we are a very small business of only 6 people, and generally only 2 team members handle the vast majority of customer communication and measurement verifications. We always appreciate your kindness and patience with us as we work hard to help dogs around the world!
